This battle marked the decisive engagement of the Carriage House Uprising, a successful campaign by the Imperial Army, led by Twinoaks, to defeat the rebellious Duke, Kliburr, at the onset of Tortaalik's reign.

Uttrik, Tynn, and Lady Duraal all fought in this battle, although Duraal did not survive.
