Eastern Mountains

From the Lyorn Records of the Dragaeran Empire

The range of mountains that separates the Dragaeran Empire from the Eastern Kingdoms.

This is a rather formidible chain of massive mountain peaks that runs north-south along the eastern edge of the Empire. Notable peaks in this range include Ironwall, Bli'aard, Broken Mountain, Mount Drift, Hookjaw Mountain, Whitecrown, Tiren's Peak, and South Mountain.

The northern end of this mountain chain comes very close to the Ash Mountains near Deathgate Falls.

In the Eastern kingdom of Fenario, these western (for them) mountains are called the Mountains of Faerie, of which one is called Mount Szaniszló, which holds Lake Fenarr, from which flows the River out of Faerie.

These mountains present a formidable obstacle to travel in either direction, with only a few navigable passes, such as Grinding Pass. In recent years, a pass near the Pepperfields became impassible after a section of mountain collapsed.

Despite these obstacles, it remains a goal of some in the Empire to invade the Eastern Kingdoms and subdue them.
