Norra, in fact, served as Imperial Witness to the duel on the Floating Bridge in which the two managed to kill each other. To Norra's credit she described the events as follows:
"Barracsk's end was as dramatic as he could manage for his age, but he suffered from allowing his desire for emphatic statement to dominate his movement; whereas V'rono seemed unable to put aside his own ideas of the fence long enough to understand what his opponent was engaged in bringing off; the result was therefore curiously inevitable, yet artistically satisfying."
