Reanimation

The use of Necromancy to bring a semblance of life to the recently deceased.

This is distinct from Revivification in that:

• It appears to be a temporary condition, lasting only so long as the necromancer maintains the spell

• The individuals being reanimated have no free will, being completely under the control of the spell-caster

This ability was used by The Necromancer to great effect during the Battle of Castle Black at the end of the Interregnum.
