Speculation talk:Devera

Just puzzling through some jigsaw speculation. If it has already been noted that Kieron is Devera's father, could that mean that it is the reincarnation of Kieron that is the father. That would fit in nicely with Vlad being the uncle.
- But since Vlad's soul is brother to Aliera's soul, he is Devera's uncle that way. In fact, since he's also Kieron's soul-brother, he's her soul-uncle on both sides. Mark Mandel 01:58, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Given that Devera seems to know what is going on, and currently (because of her interesting state of not being corporeal yet) being able to see where relationships lie in regards to both flesh and soul, I would assume that she is referring specifically to the relationship of soul.
This agrees with the the way in which she greets Aliera. She smirks when she says, "Hello, mother." Almost the same way in which Aliera greeted Verra with the same words. Although I think the tone of voice would be different in each case: the first playful, the other scornful.
- I don't know how "scornful" Aliera's comment was (in Phoenix IIRC). Aliera seems to have plenty of respect for her mother, even if she doesn't always agree with her.
- Also, note that the unofficial comments made by SKZB about Devera's parentage state that the conception takes place in the Paths of the Dead, meaning that reincarnation is likely not involved with this. --Majikjon 17:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
