Justification for "Pale Complexion" in Jhegaala's makeup:

In describing Pel "A complexion as dark as a Jhegaala's?" (The Phoenix Guards Ch. 32), the answer yes means that a Jhegaala has a pale complexion because Pel has pale features. "Khaavren noticed a flush on the pale features of the Yendi, and wondered if, the Captain had seen it, too. Pel continued," The Phoenix Guards Ch. 6 Just Steven Brust having a little fun with the language. He could have written as pale as a Jhegaala's or as light as a Jhegaala's. But what is the fun in that. You have to remember the words from Ch. 6 to make sense of Ch. 32.
